💣 I. Debt Trap
🚧 The Hospitality Gap
Trust dissolves when authority arrives as suspicion.
In many systems, the State still approaches business as if entering to inspect, not to cooperate. This policing reflex creates an invisible distance: even honest actors begin to build walls simply to feel safe.
When government looks like an agent of punishment, business responds with self-protection. It constructs private “no-entry zones,” secrecy bubbles, and offshore shelters — not out of love for opacity but out of fear of misuse of power.
The grotesque dynamic is that both sides think they are the ones being wronged. The State believes business avoids responsibility; business assumes the State comes not to help, but to seize. Their mirror mistrust destroys the shared interest that should unite them.
Formula:
Cooperation = Trust × Transparency
Symbols:
– 🚧 police tape — barrier of mistrust
– State as a police officer — symbol of punitive authority
– Business House — protected private sphere
Alt-text:
A police tape is stretched across the Business House entrance. The Father-State, dressed as a police officer, is already standing within the designated zone. The Business-Child gestures for help, showing deep distrust of the controlling authority. The police officer appears surprised. The atmosphere is tense, yet drawn in a childlike comic-grotesque style.
